It was a busy weekend for the Virginia Tech Hokies, who made two key additions through the transfer portal. First, they secured their first spring transfer commitment with North Dakota State defensive tackle Kody Huisman. After losing multiple players to the portal, this marked a significant addition for the Hokies.
During the same weekend—highlighted by five former Hokies being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft—head coach Brent Pry added a second transfer commitment: cornerback Caleb Brown from Hawaii.

Brown, a 6-foot-1 cornerback, played his high school football at Lithia Springs High School in Georgia. He originally committed to Kennesaw State, where he spent two seasons, then transferred to Butler Community College. He joined Hawaii ahead of the 2023 season, playing 13 games in 2023 and 10 games in 2024, bringing his total to 23 games over two seasons with the Rainbow Warriors.
