Luton Town will be without their defender for their Championship match at Norwich on Saturday after the defender suffered another injury setback. The 28-year-old, who missed the season’s first four games, had played in nine of the subsequent matches but was forced off after 45 minutes during their 3-0 defeat to Leeds on Wednesday due to a quad injury.
Luton head coach Rob Edwards described it as a tough situation, emphasizing Reece Burke’s importance to the team. He explained that managing Burke’s game time has been difficult due to his extended absence, but he remains hopeful that the injury isn’t too serious.
Midfielder Liam Walsh will also miss the trip to Norwich because of a hamstring issue, which kept him out of the Leeds loss. Additionally, Edwards confirmed that Alfie Doughty is not expected to return until the new season.
