SAD: The cornerback for the Wisconsin Badgers has made an unexpected announcement.

After receiving devastating news about his health, Max Lofy’s plans to leave the Wisconsin Badgers and enrol at Rice University in 2025 will no longer be possible.

The senior cornerback announced on X that he was forced to medically retire after doctors found complication on his heart.

“Due to recent findings in my clearing process here at Rice, I have decided to medically retire from football,” Lofy wrote on X.

“Multiple complications concerning the health of my heart have been brought to my attention, and after talking with multiple doctors and my family, I’ve decided this is the best option for my future and the future of my family.”

Lofy’s post was accompanied with pictures from his football days with the Badgers where he spent three seasons.

“Thank you football!! The game has taught me so much and I am excited for what lies ahead!! All praise to the most high❤️,” he said in the caption.
