JUST NOW: Virginia Tech Lands 12.8 Million in a Blockbuster Deal on a Standout Offensive Player and he is Fans Favorite.

A  6-foot-3, 312-pound offensive lineman from Berryville, Oklahoma, has officially committed to Virginia Tech, bringing a wealth of experience and potential to the Hokies’ offensive line. He started his collegiate career at Tulsa, where he played under then-head coach Phillip Montgomery, now the offensive coordinator at Virginia Tech. His time at Tulsa was formative, as he played in 20 games across three seasons. In 2022, He was the starting right tackle, a position that highlighted his strong blocking abilities. His performance in that role earned him recognition, setting the stage for his next move in his football journey.

After the 2022 season, He transferred to Auburn University, following Montgomery, who had become the offensive coordinator for the Tigers. This transfer allowed Muskrat to continue his development under a familiar coaching staff while competing at a higher level in the SEC, one of college football’s most competitive conferences. Over the two seasons he spent at Auburn, Muskrat appeared in every game, mostly serving as a backup left tackle. His role in Auburn’s offensive line helped him refine his skills and gain invaluable experience, particularly in handling the pressure and speed of the SEC.

Now, Muskrat makes the move to Virginia Tech, where he becomes the Hokies’ 10th commitment of the spring recruiting period. He is the second offensive lineman to join the Hokies this spring, following Gavin Crawford, and adds to a growing effort to fortify the team’s offensive front. In addition to Muskrat, Virginia Tech also added three offensive linemen during the winter transfer portal window, continuing to build depth and versatility within the unit. Muskrat’s ability to play both tackle and guard gives the Hokies flexibility, and he will likely compete for a starting position in the upcoming summer camp. His size and experience make him a strong contender for a key role in the team’s line-up next season.

Muskrat’s arrival at Virginia Tech is an exciting development for both the player and the program. His experience at Tulsa and Auburn, along with his ability to adapt to different offensive systems, provides a solid foundation for his success with the Hokies. As Virginia Tech looks to continue strengthening its offensive line and push for greater success in the coming seasons, Muskrat’s contributions will be a valuable asset.

Welcome home, Jaden Muskrat.
