JUST NOW: Texas A&M Land Top Physically Talented 2025 Recruit, Five-Star WR Committed To Aggies Football Program Over Alabama, Georgia and Michigan….

Texas A&M’s football program has secured a significant commitment from five-star wide receiver, who chose the Aggies over prestigious programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan. This decision underscores Texas A&M’s growing prominence in college football recruiting.

Jerome Myles: A Stellar Prospect

Hailing from Draper, Utah, he attended Corner Canyon High School, where he played under coach Eric Kjar. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 220 pounds, he is renowned for his exceptional athleticism and speed. His track accomplishments are noteworthy; he clinched state titles in both the 100-meter and 200-meter events as a junior, with a remarkable 100-meter time of 10.36 seconds, breaking a 43-year-old Utah record.

On the football field, Jerome Myles showcased his talents despite facing injuries during his high school career. In two seasons with the Chargers, he recorded 28 receptions for 732 yards and 10 touchdowns. Prior to that, at West Jordan High School in 2022, he amassed 34 catches for 699 yards and eight touchdowns.

Recruitment Journey

Myles’ recruitment journey has been dynamic. Initially committed to Ole Miss, he later pledged to USC in September 2024. However, after a series of unofficial visits to Texas A&M, including one during the Aggies’ game against Texas, Myles decommitted from USC on December 1, 2024, and subsequently committed to Texas A&M.

His decision was influenced by the strong relationship he built with the Texas A&M coaching staff, particularly head coach Mike Elko and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins. Myles expressed admiration for Elko’s genuine approach and Wiggins’ track record in developing top-tier receivers.

Impact on Texas A&M’s Recruiting Class

Myles’ commitment significantly bolsters Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class. His addition, along with the flip of five-star offensive lineman Lamont Rogers from Missouri, propelled the Aggies’ class ranking into the top 10 nationally.  Myles joins fellow wide receiver commits Kelshaun Johnson and Tristan Norman, addressing a crucial position of need for the Aggies.
