With Atlanta set to host this year’s All-Star Week from July 11 to July 15 — ending with the 95th MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park — MLB, the Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Braves Foundation announced over $4 million in 2025 All-Star Legacy investments aimed at benefiting the Atlanta metro area.

“Our goal at the Atlanta Braves Foundation is to strengthen communities through baseball,” said Danielle Bedasse, Vice President of Community Affairs and Executive Director of the Foundation. “We hope the legacy of All-Star Week in Atlanta creates a lasting impact that spans generations.”

She added that, together with MLB and their corporate and community partners, they aim to support projects throughout Metro Atlanta that increase access to baseball, assist underserved groups, and support those who serve and protect the community.

In collaboration with Cobb PARKS and the Rhyne Park Girls Softball Association, the complex in Cobb County will be enhanced with three new turf fields, a batting cage, new fencing, fresh paint, and windscreens to support year-round activities.

Camp Southern Ground Warrior Fitness Trailer
A mobile fitness unit, created with Camp Southern Ground and musician Zac Brown, will provide specialized wellness programs for veterans to support their physical and mental health during their return to civilian life.

Leila Valley Community Farm Volunteer Project
In partnership with the Food Well Alliance and Atlanta Housing, volunteers will help prepare a seven-acre farm, garden, and orchard at the Leila Valley apartment site. This farm will supply fresh produce to Atlanta Housing residents.

Barksdale Baseball Field Renovation
With help from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, the A.R. “Gus” Barksdale Boys & Girls Club’s baseball field will be revitalized through field repairs, improved lighting and irrigation systems, and the installation of security fencing and a new scoreboard.

Additional community-focused events and youth initiatives tied to All-Star Week will be announced soon. MLB has already revealed the 2025 MLB All-Star 4.4 Miler, a charity race honoring the legacy of Hall of Famer and Braves legend Hank Aaron.

“Teaming up with the Braves on this year’s Legacy initiative goes beyond partnership — it’s a shared dedication to uplifting communities through access and innovation,” said April Brown, MLB’s Senior VP of Social Responsibility. “This initiative embodies the mission of MLB Together, driving lasting change through youth programs, veteran support, and inclusive projects, while celebrating the Braves’ strong ties to Atlanta.”

Since 1997, MLB and All-Star host teams have invested nearly $120 million in local communities through the All-Star Legacy initiative.
