On Tuesday and Wednesday, Virginia Tech hosted top offensive line prospect for a multi-day unofficial visit. The 6‑foot‑6, 295‑pound tackle from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach spent two days in Blacksburg closely engaging with the Hokies’ program. During his visit, He attended practice sessions, sat in on team meetings, and took the opportunity to build relationships with key staff, including head coach Brent Pry and the newly appointed offensive line coach, Matt Moore.
According to sources, he was particularly impressed with the program’s atmosphere and the state-of-the-art facilities at Virginia Tech. He expressed that he felt like he was already a part of the team—a sentiment that could bode well for his eventual commitment. Coach Pry and Coach Moore both noted Thomas Wilder’s strong work ethic and genuine interest in the Hokies’ culture, highlighting his ability to grasp the team’s offensive line concepts and his willingness to ask insightful questions during meetings.

Wilder’s visit is seen as a significant win for Virginia Tech, especially as the Hokies aim to bolster their offensive line with local talent. With several top in-state recruits already on the radar and a recent surge in the program’s recruiting efforts, Wilder’s positive impression may tip the scales in Virginia Tech’s favor. Although no official commitment has been made yet, insiders suggest that Wilder’s visit will play a pivotal role in his decision-making process as he narrows down his top choices for college.
