After delivering the best season of his collegiate career, the wide receiver has once again entered the NCAA transfer portal—his third time doing so—and secured a new destination, marking his fourth college stop in five years.
The wide receiver, who previously played for Michigan State, spent the 2024 season at Marshall, where he experienced a breakout year. Now, he’s set to return to the Power Four conferences, joining the Big 12 for his final year of eligibility.
Roughly a week ago, he shared a list of programs showing the most interest in him during his time in the portal. That list included notable names such as Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Colorado State, Kentucky, Wake Forest, SMU, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, UCLA, and Oklahoma State. Among these, UCLA stood out as a potential reunion with the Big Ten, which would have meant a matchup against his former team, Michigan State. However, He made his decision on Monday and chose to continue his college football journey at Oklahoma State.
During his lone season at Marshall under head coach Charles Huff, Christian Fitzpatrick posted career-best numbers, catching 34 passes for 576 yards and scoring six touchdowns. These stats built upon his previous performance with the Spartans in 2023, when he recorded 18 receptions for 252 yards and one touchdown. With a solid frame at 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds, Fitzpatrick has the physical tools to compete and make an impact in the Big 12, and he is poised to be a valuable asset for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 2025 season.

This upcoming season will be Fitzpatrick’s final year of eligibility. He began his college career in 2020 at Louisville, where he redshirted, then transferred to Michigan State in 2021, spending three seasons there before transferring to Marshall for the 2024 season. With the Cowboys, he will look to close out his collegiate career on a high note, bringing size, experience, and a proven scoring ability to their receiving corps.
