JUST IN: Georgia Football Receives Strong Message on $2.7 Million Star QB Prospect

This past weekend, he made another visit to Athens, Georgia, where the Bulldogs had the chance to strengthen their case. His mother, Barbara Curtis, has spoken highly of their recruiting experiences with both Georgia and Oregon.

The five-star quarterback, who is the top-ranked signal-caller in the 2026 recruiting class, is no longer committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of the race. Despite reopening his recruitment, he remains heavily considering Georgia and Oregon, his two final schools.

After previously praising the Ducks following a visit on March 11, she was equally enthusiastic about their return trip to Georgia.

“I will say, it’s always great to be with Coach Smart and company,” Barbara told On3’s Steve Wiltfong on March 16. “We enjoyed Georgia. We always do. They treated us like family, and we enjoyed our time there.”

Jared Curtis originally gave Georgia a verbal commitment but decided to reopen his recruitment, making his upcoming decision a tough one. His mother acknowledged the challenge, stating, “I don’t envy Jared for his decision. Great programs with great people.”

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Curtis is the No. 1 quarterback prospect and No. 2 overall player in the 2026 class. With a projected NIL valuation of $2.7 million from On3, he is one of the most coveted high school prospects in the nation.

As Curtis prepares for his final high school season at Nashville Christian School, he has scheduled official visits to both Oregon and Georgia in the first half of June. The battle between the Bulldogs and Ducks is expected to be one of the biggest recruiting storylines leading up to National Signing Day, as both programs continue to make their case for the elite quarterback.
