The Georgia Bulldogs are about to land a commitment from a five-star recruit in the 2026 class, and they gained some momentum over the weekend. The star, a cornerback from Mount Miguel High School in La Mesa, California, is set to visit Georgia on March 21. Ranked as the nation’s top cornerback and 12th overall player in On3’s industry rankings, he holds over 40 scholarship offers. Despite never visiting Athens, he expressed optimism that Georgia could emerge as a strong contender in a highly competitive recruitment battle, potentially bolstering their secondary for years to come.
In an interview with On3, Brandon Arrington revealed that he has narrowed his choices to six schools, with Georgia making the cut. “Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, and USC are my top schools,” Arrington stated. “For me, it’s all about relationships and which schools have been with me through the process. These programs have recruited me hard, and I can see myself at any of them because they all excel at player development.”
Regarding his decision timeline, Arrington, who has an On3 NIL valuation of $393,000, explained: “I plan to finalize my official visits and hope to visit most, if not all, of my top six schools this spring. Each of them is actively recruiting me and wants me on campus. After my official visits, I’ll likely cut my list to four schools before making a final decision. Just like my current list, my choice will be based on relationships, development, and where I truly want to be.”

Georgia has a proven track record of sending defensive backs to the NFL, with three members of their secondary drafted last year. Safety Malaki Starks is also projected as a potential first-round pick this year. With a reputation for dominant defenses, Georgia presents an appealing destination for Arrington, who clearly sees them as a program capable of maximizing his potential. The Bulldogs will aim to solidify that impression during his visit later this month.
