JUST IN: Georgia Confirms Big Commitment of Another Highly-Rated 5-Star

An elite cornerback finds himself in the middle of a vicious tug-of-war between two powerhouse programs. While the Michigan Wolverines had already acquired his verbal commitment, the Georgia Bulldogs did not let him slide away, engaging in intense, almost daily chats to win him over.

The Michigan Wolverines received a verbal commitment from a highly regarded cornerback in the 2026 recruiting class. However, the Georgia Bulldogs continue to pursue the potential. On March 6, On3’s Jeremy Johnson stated that five-star cornerback Brody Jennings “continues to be and feels like a priority” for the Bulldogs.

“They’re talking to me a lot, almost everyday,” Jennings said Johnson. “Not every coach speaks with you every day. He broke down all of the databases he’s created. Many places cannot do so. They choose between three and six names. He named over ten. That is saying something.

Jennings is ranked 22nd among cornerbacks in the 2026 recruiting class by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Jennings is also a top 50 recruit in Florida and a top 300 overall talent for the 2026 recruiting class.

The cornerback is slated to make an official visit to Athens, Georgia, over the weekend of June 13. While the Bulldogs are actively recruiting Jennings, other programs outside of Michigan are also interested.

According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, the Illinois Fighting Illini and Auburn Tigers will also host Jennings for an official visit this spring.

The Bulldogs appear to be making progress with their cornerback recruitment. Jennings told On3 that he had created chemistry with Georgia defensive back coach Donte Williams.

“The relationship with Coach (Donte) Williams is great,” Jennings told On3. “He is a great guy with a great personal approach…” He speaks with me about life outside of football. He wants to know about my life away from sport and who I am as a person.”
