Chambliss, a key defensive player for Georgia, led the Bulldogs in sacks during the 2024 season. Despite his impressive performance, he was not invited to the NFL Combine, prompting him to showcase his skills during Georgia’s Pro Day. His efforts there have garnered attention from several NFL teams, including the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints, who have all expressed interest in his capabilities.
In his collegiate career, Chambliss accumulated 86 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. His primary role was as an EDGE rusher, a position that aligns with the Chargers’ current defensive needs, especially after the departure of several key defensive players during the offseason.

Furthermore, the Chargers are exploring potential trades to enhance their defensive prowess. Speculation has arisen about a possible trade with the New York Giants for edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux, contingent on the Giants’ draft decisions.
