Hark! An increasing number of transactions and unforeseen twists has resulted in a substantial addition to the New York Knicks bench. The team, which is always on the lookout for untapped potential, has signed a deal with a talented young player whose path to the NBA has been so conventional. With stints on numerous teams and leagues, this 6’7″ forward has pushed through uncertainty, showing himself with so much energy and a desire to inscribe his name on the timeline of sports. Making a decision that could change the course of his career, he now wears Knicks colors and is ready to make a huge impact on the vast stage of Madison Square Garden.
The New York Knicks new young player added to their bench is none other than MarJon Beauchamp. As tweeted by Shams Charania this evening, he made it clear that the Knicks have reached an agreement on a two-way contract. The 6’7″ forward, a first-round pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2022, has split his season between the Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Beauchamp was born on October 12, 2000, in Seattle, and his path to the NBA has been unorthodox. He left college to train with Chameleon BX, flourished at Yakima Valley College (averaging 31 points and 10 rebounds per game), and eventually joined the G League Ignite, where he averaged 15.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
Beauchamp was moved to the Clippers during the 2024-25 season after playing for Milwaukee for two seasons. To date, he has averaged 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in limited playing time. Beauchamp, known for his high-energy style of play, is working to improve his talents as he seeks a more defined role in the league.
Welcome, MarJon!
