Mark Coleman has returned to his fighting weight after an intense three-week body transformation.
The former UFC heavyweight champion, who fought in the heavyweight division throughout his Hall of Fame career, hasn’t competed since his loss to Randy Couture in February 2010.
However, at 60 years old, Coleman recently underwent a significant weight cut for a different purpose.
He reports losing 30 pounds, reaching the same weight he was during his two-fight series with MMA legend Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua, which took place over 20 years ago.
On Sunday, fans were shocked when Jiri Prochazka made a nearly naked appearance at the RIZIN Grand Prix in Japan. The former UFC light heavyweight champion joined Coleman and six other legends, all dressed in nothing but Mawashis, for a memorable opening ceremony.
Coleman shared his experience on Instagram: “I was honored to participate in the opening ceremonies of the 2025 RIZIN Grand Prix, pounding the drums in front of thousands.

And yes, I felt completely comfortable in my undies. My initial goal was to hit 228 lbs for my Pride GP weight, but I ended up going lower, down to 224 lbs, which was my weight for the Shogun Rua fights.
I felt amazing that night! I dropped 30 lbs in 3 weeks, and now that it’s over, I’ll probably enjoy gaining back 40 pounds before I even get back to America.
