DISASTER STRIKES: Seattle Mariners Top Tier Star Nightmares Worsen Amid Devastating Injury Crisis.

The Seattle Mariners can ill-afford another injury, but that’s what they might have on their hands after an outfielder  was removed from Sunday’s game against the Texas Rangers in the top of the sixth inning.

After singling to left field, He was seen stretching out his leg at first base. While it could just be a cramp, the team wasn’t taking any chances, especially in a game they were already trailing 6-1. From the television broadcast, it appeared to be either a cramp or possible hamstring discomfort.

He was replaced by outfielder Rhylan Thomas. It’s been a rough year injury-wise for Seattle, with Dylan Moore, Luke Raley, Victor Robles, George Kirby, Logan Gilbert, Gregory Santos, and Ryan Bliss all spending time on the IL. Bliss is out for the season, and both Robles and Raley aren’t expected back until around the All-Star break. Matt Brash just recently returned from a long stint on the injured list.

Rodríguez, 30, is batting .224 this season with five home runs and 18 RBIs. He’s also swiped eight bases and delivered in several clutch moments late in games. He hit a game-winning homer against the A’s during the season’s first homestand and came through with key extra-inning hits versus Cincinnati and Toronto.
