After the Indiana Pacers’ 117-98 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, it’s clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo needs more support. A recent injury update could bring a major boost to the Bucks in their playoff series against Indiana. Damian Lillard, who hasn’t played since March 18 due to a blood clot scare and subsequent blood thinner treatment, may soon return. While initial optimism from Lillard and the team seemed overly hopeful, new reports suggest that their confidence wasn’t misplaced. Milwaukee has now listed Lillard as “questionable” for Tuesday’s game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
In Game 1, Antetokounmpo led with 36 points, but his teammates struggled to contribute offensively—Milwaukee’s other starters combined for just 14 points, falling short of expectations. Lillard’s potential return could provide the Bucks with another much-needed scoring option against a Pacers team that has stepped up defensively. Last year’s first-round series was also impacted by injuries, but both teams hope that this year’s matchup won’t follow the same script beyond Game 1.
The Pacers will host the Bucks on Tuesday at 6 PM, with the game airing on NBA TV. If Indiana wants to take a 2-0 series lead, they’ll need to avoid falling victim to “Dame Time,” should Lillard take the count.
