The Buffalo Bills find themselves at a crucial juncture as they continue their pursuit of a Super Bowl with franchise quarterback and reigning MVP Josh Allen at the helm. Allen had a remarkable 2024 season, securing MVP honors after throwing for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns while completing 63.6% of his passes. His dual-threat ability also remained a key asset, as he rushed for 531 yards and 12 additional touchdowns, making him one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the league.
However, despite Allen’s elite performance, the Bills fell short in the AFC Championship Game, suffering a heartbreaking loss to their conference rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. Buffalo finished the season with an impressive 15-5 record, including postseason victories over the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, but once again found themselves unable to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. The playoff defeat exposed some weaknesses in the Bills’ offensive arsenal, particularly at the wide receiver position, where the team struggled to find consistent production outside of Stefon Diggs.
In the wake of the loss, speculation has emerged regarding potential roster moves to bolster Buffalo’s offense. ESPN’s Aaron Schatz has suggested that one of Kansas City’s top wide receivers could leave in free agency and sign with the Bills, a move that would significantly impact both teams. That receiver is Hollywood Brown, a former first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens who has also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals before landing with the Chiefs in 2024.

Brown’s first year in Kansas City was plagued by injury, as he suffered a joint issue during the preseason that sidelined him for the majority of the season. As a result, his impact was minimal, recording just nine catches for 91 yards. However, despite his limited production last year, Brown has proven himself as a dynamic playmaker when healthy. His best season came in 2021 with the Ravens, when he racked up 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make plays after the catch.
If the Bills manage to land Brown in free agency, it would provide Allen with another proven weapon alongside Diggs and tight end Dalton Kincaid. Brown’s speed and ability to create separation would add a new dimension to Buffalo’s passing attack, potentially giving them the firepower needed to finally overcome the Chiefs and reach the Super Bowl. As free agency approaches, all eyes will be on Buffalo’s front office to see if they make a move to secure the dynamic wideout and bolster their championship aspirations.
