Tennessee Titans General Manager Ran Carthon acts rapidly to dismiss coach Mike Vrabel. The following is a list of reported candidates for the position.

NASHVILLE— On Tuesday, Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon announced that he and the team’s leadership were aggressively looking for a new coach to replace Mike Vrabel. True to his statement, many reports emerged within 24 hours after Carthon’s press appearance, showing that the team is working rapidly on the hunt.

Here are the seven candidates listed thus far in reported interview requests:

Brian Callahan, the Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator (source: Justin Melo of The Draft Network).

Antonio Pierce is the interim head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders (source: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network).

Aaron Glenn is the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator (source: ESPN’s Adam Schefter).

Ben Johnson, Detroit Lions offensive coordinator (source: NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero).

Mike Kafka, New York Giants’ offensive coordinator (source: Pelissero).

Mike Macdonald is the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator (source: Schefter).

Dan Quinn is the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator (source: Pelissero).

Several coaches, including Quinn, will receive interview requests from other clubs. There are seven open NFL coaching positions: Titans, Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Commanders.

“We will conduct an intensive search for our next head coach. “It will involve a large number of people,” Carthon explained. “Obviously, I will be a part of it. Miss Amy will be involved in this as well as other activities. But we want to make sure we get the appropriate folks in here. “I think it’ll be well documented.”
