REPORT: It was a spectacular show, the Detroit Lions’ biggest game to date.

Football has become extremely cynical. Winning is the only thing that matters, along with the best quarterbacks, the most captivating tales, and culture. That was far from the case when Dan Campbell arrived in town; there was a desire to create a new culture and a fresh approach for a business that everyone had written off.

Furthermore, the stakes couldn’t be raised above the season’s conclusion for his trouble. Due to the Minnesota Vikings’ unwavering pursuit of the Detroit Lions, the nation’s most important game was set. Instead of simply showing up, the Lions thrashed the Vikings, drove them hysterical to Los Angeles, and won the #1 seed and some well-needed relaxation.

On this episode of the Pride of Detroit PODcast, we talk about the best Lions regular season in history—15 wins, a second straight division crown and the no. 1 seed. How did it happen? Well, there’s a lot to it, but we start with Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings and the best performance this year from the Lions defense. Alex Anzalone’s return factored heavily into it, but so were a few other things going right. Jahmyr Gibbs lit up the night, yeah sure let’s talk about it.

The season was special, and we talk about what it all meant. Most importantly: how this reaffirms the past three years for the Campbell/Holmes regime, and where things look with a first-round bye, injuries and prospective opponents in the divisional round.
