The 34-year-old star from Matatiele, Eastern Cape, has seen a meteoric rise. A brief stint with the Moroka Swallows followed by an extended absence without a club has come to an end. The former Orlando Pirates number 15 has joined with Gqeberha and East London’s Chippa United.

While the Buccaneers are yet to formally announce the acquisition of Selaelo Rasebotja from SuperSport United, they have purportedly made two more additions. The lone announced transaction is for Angolan winger Delvi Miguel Vieira, also known as Gilberto.

“The 23-year-old joins the club on a three-year contract after passing a physical and finalizing personal terms.Delvi, often known as Gilberto, joins the Buccaneers after spending two seasons with Angolan Girabola champions Petro de Luanda. The adventurous forward is coming off an outstanding season in which he shined at the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast earlier this year, guiding Angola to the quarterfinals.
“Gilberto is due to fly back to Angola today to finalise the necessary paperwork so that he can join the squad for its outbound Preseason Tour to Spain from July 8.”
Furthermore, reliable rumors indicate that the Orlando Pirates have signed Thuso Moleleki from Orbit College, subject to an official statement.
According to iDiski Times’ chief reporter Sinethemba Makonco, the Buccaneers have signed Orbit College’s promising 24-year-old offensive midfielder Moleleki on a three-year contract, pending an official announcement.
“Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of Orbit College midfielder Thuso Moleleki, iDiski Times has learnt,” according to the publication.
“This publication has been informed that Moleleki has signed a three-year contract with an option to extend it for an additional two years with the Buccaneers.
