This week, the Miami football program received three four-star pledges, propelling it into the top ten 2025 classes nationally.

The commitments of linebacker Gavin Nix, safety Hylton Stubbs, and center Seuseu Alofaituli propelled the 2025 Miami football class into the top ten. Alofaituli, Nix, and Stubbs are all four-star recruits in the 2025 class, listed in the top 100 by 247Sports, and Miami’s three highest-ranked commits.

Nix continued Miami’s hot streak from June by becoming the Hurricanes’ first July commitment on Monday. Nix is the 88th-ranked prospect, 11th LB, and 15th player in Florida according to 247Sports’ 2025 rankings. Miami extended its route to IMG Academy in Bradenton. Nix is Miami’s third LB committed for 2025.

According to 247Sports, Stubbs is ranked 99th overall, 10th safety, and 17th player in Florida out of Jacksonville Mandarin for the 2025 class. Stubbs committed to Miami after decommitting from USC on June 27. Stubbs joined four-star safety Amari Wallace, who committed to Miami on June 27.

Alofaituli is the 55th prospect, second interior offensive lineman, and second player in Nevada in the 2025 class, coming from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. Following Stubbs’ pledge on Thursday, Miami moved up to the 11th-ranked class in the nation. Alofaituli’s commitment pushed Miami up to eighth.

Alofaituli was the 17th commit in Miami’s 2025 class and the fourth blue-chip talent. Miami is still waiting for a commitment from a five-star prospect in the 2025 class. Eleven of the 2025 Miami pledges are from Florida, four from South Florida.

This week has pushed the 2025 Miami class to the top of the ACC. Miami also leads the ACC with 12 blue-chip commits. Clemson boasts the ACC’s second-ranked class and is tied for second with Florida State with nine four-star pledges. Florida State holds the sole five-star commitment in the ACC.

Miami is attempting to close out its third consecutive top ten class. The Hurricanes signed the seventh-best 2023 class and finished fourth in the 2024 rankings. Miami has signed five five-star prospects over the last two classes. Miami’s 2024 season performance will most likely impact how many five-star recruits the Hurricanes sign in 2025.
