The Golden State Warriors are not yet prepared to abandon their youthful core.
It doesn’t seem like the Golden State Warriors will completely overhaul their roster this offseason, despite the opinion held by many in the league that they should be. The Warriors may ultimately make a few minor changes, but for the time being at least, it appears like this is a club that is planning to go into the offseason with the goal of keeping their championship window open for this core.

Of course, things can alter at any time. However, there’s little anticipation that the Warriors will see significant changes very soon, at least not yet. In addition to that position, the Warriors appear to have immediately changed their attitude toward one of their contentious young players. A new rumor claims that the Warriors now view Jonathan Kuminga as a “untouchable” member of the team. This is a significant shift from the previous year. Not too long ago, there was talk that the Warriors would be open to trading Kuminga in order to improve the group that featured Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson.

It seems that is no longer the case. Rather, Kuminga might now be seen by the Warriors as an integral member of the team’s core.

The advancements Jonathan Kuminga has achieved in his field
Kuminga made quite the leap in his third season with the Warriors. Throughout the season, Kuminga averaged 16 points, five rebounds, and 32 percent from three point range while shooting 53 percent from the field and 32 percent from beyond the arc. Most significantly, Kuminga appeared to be a potential full-time starter for the Warriors in the future.

If the Warriors decide to make a big splash, Kuminga doesn’t seem to be a part of the lineup adjustments the team is getting ready to make. Golden State is probably planning to enhance its roster while keeping Kuminga in mind.

Not surprisingly, given his outbursts of play this season, Kuminga has established himself as a “untouchable” asset for the Warriors. For Kuminga and the Warriors, the most important question is whether he has one more developmental step left in him. If this is the case, the Warriors’ great regard and regard for Kuminga may be justified.
