Kaizer Chiefs have another chance to bolster their roster during the January transfer window.
Under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, the Soweto giants have already signed seven players for the upcoming campaign. Despite Amakhosi’s strong start to the season—winning their first two league games—things quickly went south for Nabi’s team.
Chiefs are now ranked ninth in the Betway Premiership after winning just one of their past seven league games. The Glamour Boys are under pressure to perform better the following season because rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are vying for the league title.
More players will be added by Kaizer Chiefs during the January transfer window.
Nabi has stated that in order to become more competitive, he needs additional players.
He hasn’t found a decent striker yet, despite having bought four defenders thus far. Ashley Du Preez and Ranga Chivaviro have combined for four league goals, but they have a history of misfiring.
These three Kaizer Chiefs players are probably going to go in January.
Mdantsane Mduduzi
The 30-year-old midfielder may be loaned and sold in the upcoming weeks as he has not yet played a game this season. He didn’t play until the Legends Cup in November after missing the majority of the season due to injury.
Matlou, George
In the last two years, the 26-year-old has participated in fewer than 20 games. His progress has been halted by injuries, and he is most likely to depart Kaizer Chiefs in January.
Saile, Christian
Since joining Amakhosi, Saile has failed to hit the ground running. With the likes of Wandile Duba doing the job on the wings, the Congolese’s days at Naturena are numbered.
