TAMPA — Aaron Judge was happy with the Yankees’ offseason signings following a season that left several players “embarrassed,” he stated.
However, the captain was not yet ready to rule out any other possible changes.
With a handful of free agents still available, including top pitchers Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery, Judge was asked on Tuesday if he hoped the Yankees will make another move.

“I hope so,” Judge stated following the first full-squad exercise at Steinbrenner Field. “They’re constantly working. That’s what makes being here with the Yankees so fantastic. They’re continually striving to better. They’re always attempting to make moves, whether through trades or free agency.

“I definitely feel like another move is on the way, but you never know. “We’ll see.”
The Yankees are not reported to have made an offer for Snell, but they may do so if his price falls — as would many other teams.

They did make him a contract offer earlier in the offseason, but it was before they decided to add Marcus Stroman to join a rotation that included Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes, and Clarke Schmidt.
Meanwhile, Judge gushed about the Yankees’ moves to acquire Juan Soto, Alex Verdugo, and Trent Grisham.

“We’re excited about quite a few guys that we added,” Judge went on to say. “You start at the top with Juan Soto and the diversity he brings to the team, ranking third in the lineup. He’ll get on base, drive the ball all over the park, and he’s the left-handed batter in the middle we’ve been looking for. You acquire Grisham, another left-handed bat and excellent outfielder who will put the ball in play. You’ve got Verdugo, who’s done a lot of harm to us over the years, and now we have the opportunity to have him on our side.

“It’s just gonna give us a lot of different options we haven’t had over the past couple of years and just excited about getting to know these guys a little bit and just seeing how they work and going out to work with them and pushing toward a championship.”
