There have been rumors circulating regarding Cooper’s potential stay with the Browns. Cleveland is trying to cut costs, and Cooper will put $23.7 million against the cap in the upcoming campaign.

But since arriving through a trade in 2022, Cooper has proven to be well worth the price. In addition to posting consecutive seasons of 1,000 yards, he was recently selected for his fifth Pro Bowl.

After consulting his sources, Terry Pluto of Cleveland.com revealed unequivocally that Cooper will not be leaving anytime soon.

On Sunday, February 4, Pluto said, “I keep hearing from some fans and media members that the Browns may cut Amari Cooper because of salary cap problems.” “The Browns have zero intention of letting Amari Cooper leave, according to a top NFL source I spoke with.”

Magnificent Season Featuring Browns

Although hardly shocking, Pluto’s article dispels the rumor that Cooper won’t be wearing orange and brown in the upcoming season.

But when it comes to Cooper, the squad really needs to start planning for the future. His contract only lasts for another year. An extension might reduce the hit cap hit for the upcoming campaign while also securing the Browns’ best pass-catcher for a few more years.

Over the years, a few divas have played wide receiver for the Browns. Cooper is regarded by teammates and coaches as highly as Nick Chubb,” Pluto wrote. “I was informed that, in light of the pay cap, the Browns might not even need to modify his deal. They will if necessary.

Despite receiving passes from four different quarterbacks during the previous season, Cooper led the Browns’ offense. On 72 catches, he amassed 1,250 yards. Cooper’s performance against the Houston Texans on Christmas Eve was exceptional. A franchise single-game record of 265 yards was set by him on 11 receptions.

It’s intended for records to be broken. Ultimately, it’s all just statistics. Although I don’t take anything for granted, Cooper stated on January 10 that it was the past. “You know, after I finish playing, I want to look back on my career in that sentimental kind of way,” I tell myself every time.
