Georgia football’s third-year offensive coordinator, has faced significant criticism following a disappointing 2024 season. The Bulldogs fell short of national title expectations, with offensive struggles playing a major role. Despite this, He is under contract for longer than expected. According to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald, The offensive coordinator signed a one-year contract extension before the 2024 season, pushing the expiration of his deal to the end of 2026 instead of 2025. He still has two years remaining on his contract.
Starting July 1st, Bobo’s salary will rise by $100k to $1.503 million, with another increase set for 2026, bringing his salary to $1.603 million.
Given these circumstances, it’s unlikely that Bobo will be fired before the 2025 season, as it seems Kirby Smart would have made a move by now. However, he could still be let go after the 2025 season.
Bobo will have a very different group to work with in 2025. With starting quarterback Carson Beck transferring to Miami, Gunner Stockton will take over at quarterback. Nate Frazier is expected to handle most of the running back duties, as Trevor Etienne heads to the NFL Draft. The Bulldogs will also see two talented wide receivers transfer in, along with a strong group of incoming recruits. Bobo’s biggest challenge will be getting the offensive line to mesh, as four new starters are expected on the line next season.
