2018-20
Purdy and Brandt both attended Iowa State, where they excelled on their respective sports teams. Purdy was on the gridiron, while Brandt was on the hardwood as a member of the Cyclones’ volleyball team. It’s unknown whether the couple originally met around this period. However, it is entirely feasible that their paths intersected.
2021
Brandt decided to go from Iowa State maroon to Northern Iowa purple in December 2020, joining the Panthers’ volleyball team as a setter. Cedar Falls is only 90 minutes from Ames, so Brandt and Purdy were relatively close.
July 2022
Purdy and Brandt appear to have started a relationship sometime between 2021 and 2022. Purdy’s sister, Whittney, took a picture of the two at a country concert with the rest of their family.
November, 2022
Brandt and Purdy became Instagram official in November 2022. Brandt was the one who broke the seal, tweeting a photo of Purdy lounging around a house, allegedly her childhood home, with the message “my roots and my boy.”
Purdy added to the drama by exclaiming, “My girl!” How precious!
Dec. 2022
Purdy’s debut as a 49ers starter made headlines in San Francisco. Brandt was frequently seen in the concourses, watching her beau find pay dirt.

The duo return to the venue where they first established their reputations, with Purdy being welcomed with a king’s welcome on his return to Jack Trice Stadium.
