Mateusz Musialowski, Leeds United’s January target, would make a “fantastic” addition to the squad.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton praised the young forward’s impressive numbers and adaptability for Liverpool’s junior teams.
Musialowski has yet to make a senior appearance, but he has scored 30 goals in 80 Reds outings and can play in a variety of attacking positions.
Hutton was enthused by the idea of the 20-year-old, whose contract expires in June, heading to Elland Road, claiming he would have the “freedom” to grow under Daniel Farke right away.
“He’s playing for Liverpool, so he’s obviously got something about him,” he told Football Insider
“He doesn’t play first-team football, but he’s really versatile; he can play throughout the front, and his numbers in the younger ranks are fantastic.
“He has an opportunity if he goes to Leeds.
“You are giving him a platform to demonstrate his abilities.
“He has a lot of potential, so playing for a team like Leeds, which is flying high and has a lot of young talent, allows you that flexibility.
“That’s the opportunity he needs and will look for.
“This could be a fantastic move for him and I think he’d do well at Leeds.”

Leeds United face Norwich City at Elland Road on Wednesday night, their second of three home games in six days.
Before facing the Canaries, manager Daniel Farke spoke with the media on a variety of things.
He began by providing an update on his squad’s fitness following their weekend triumph over Preston North End.
“All players who were in contention for the last game are available for the next game,” he said.
“Good news: Willy Gnonto has made improvement. He hasn’t joined team training yet, so we’ll try to get him back this afternoon.
“He was out for 12 days, so we will make a late decision for the game; he may become a topic for the squad, but I expect him to return for the FA Cup game on Saturday.”
“Apart form this, there is no other news, Pascal Struijk is still out.”
Our approaching opponents have won their past three games across all competitions, indicating that it would be another difficult challenge when the manager sends his players out to face his former side.
Farke remarked, “I was there for over four years and have wonderful recollections.
“I will be forever grateful to this club, and it will hold a particular place in my heart. That is totally usual.
“It is always a joy to see some familiar faces. I’m not sure whether there’s time to say hello on game day because we’re more focused on the game, which is special.
“But it isn’t about me; it’s about us winning the three points, and that is my sole topic right now.
“We are highly motivated to win a game of football.”
