The Washington Huskies have made a deliberate attempt to combine a four-star running back commit from Lake Oswego High School in Oregon with another of the West Coast’s finest ball carriers, and position coach Scottie Graham is considering two top alternatives.
Last week, four-star Deshonne Redeaux ranked the Huskies sixth, and on Tuesday night, four-star Brian Bonner Jr. ranked Washington eighth. The 6-foot, 185-pound talent, ranked as the nation’s No. 5 running back and No. 101 overall athlete in the 2026 class by 247Sports, has 28 offers and is considering the Huskies along with some of the nation’s top teams.
His list includes Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, UCLA, and Stanford, as well as Jedd Fisch’s club, which has two running backs in the 2024 and 2025 classes. In 2024, the Huskies signed four-star Jordan Washington, who transferred after spending the spring at Arizona, and three-star Adam Mohammed.
Graham signed three-stars Julian McMahan and Quaid Carr in 2025, providing the Huskies with speed and power in both classes. Combining Bonner and Sanoe may be the best option for the Washington coaching staff.
Bonner, who is scheduled to make an unofficial visit to Washington on March 8, brings top-tier speed to the table. During his junior season at Valencia High School in Southern California, he carried for over 1,400 yards and 25 touchdowns, was measured at 21.6 miles per hour by the UC Report, and supposedly ran a 10.56 in the 100m dash.
With senior Jonah Coleman due to graduate after the 2025 season and Mohammed projected to take over as the featured back, Graham may also be selling Bonner on the chance to get on the field early if he chooses Washington.
