Oregon has lost a major piece of its 2026 recruiting class as five-star offensive tackle. He has flipped his commitment to rival Washington. He is a standout at Mater Dei High School in California and a Seattle native, began his prep career at Eastside Catholic (Wash.) and recently visited UW. That trip led him to reconsider his decision.
“My visit to Washington reminded me how meaningful it would be to return home,” He told 247Sports. “Family means everything to me, and playing with my brother, staying connected to my roots, and building something special at home is something I’ve always dreamed of. My brother and I grew up wanting to be Huskies together.”
He added that leaving Oregon was a difficult choice. “It’s an amazing program, and it wasn’t easy walking away. But I truly believe this is God’s plan.”
The 6-foot-6, 285-pound lineman initially committed to Oregon last August over Michigan and USC, and had remained a top target for both USC and Texas. Washington had ramped up its pursuit in recent weeks.

Ranked as the No. 4 offensive tackle and No. 22 overall player in the 2026 class (per 247Sports Composite), kodi Greene becomes the fourth decommit from Oregon’s 2026 group, joining Bott Mulitalo, Tomuhini Topui, and Jonas Williams. With Greene’s departure, Oregon’s 2026 class now features seven commitments and has dropped to No. 17 in the 247Sports rankings.
