Alabama vs. Missouri injury report: Latest updates, news for Week 9
On Saturday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide will return home to Tuscaloosa in Week 9 for a SEC matchup against the Missouri Tigers.
A Top 25 showdown, this is an important game for both teams, as the Crimson Tide cannot afford a third loss on the season, while Missouri is a team that is searching for a signature win on their resume.
However, if both teams want to win, then they will likely have to do it without some key players on both sides of the ball, as a few prominent names are either out or doubtful for Saturday according to Wednesday night’s initial Week 9 SEC Availability Report.
Alabama’s most glaring injury is to starting safety Keon Sabb, who is out for the Missouri game, and, according to head coach Kalen DeBoer, could also be unavailable for a while. Alongside Sabb, linebacker Cayden Jones is also listed as “out,” with the freshman set to miss his second-straight game.
Morgan, who has eight tackles so far this season as a true freshman, is listed as “probable,” and will likely be available against Missouri.
Missouri Tigers injury report vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
Missouri’s initial injury report has far more players listed than the Crimson Tide, headlined by three prominent offensive players in starting quarterback Brady Cook, running back Nate Noel, and wide receiver Mookie Cooper all listed as “doubtful.” According to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel as well Wednesday, Noel is unlikely to play Saturday.
The Tigers also have some question marks at the safety position in particular, as four different players are listed as “questionable.” It does however appear that Missouri’s top kick returner, wide receiver Marquis Johnson, is on track to play Saturday.
