NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 9, 2024 (PRNewswire) — LG Electronics USA and the Tennessee Titans have signed a multi-year extension of their collaboration, which will continue to focus on supporting local businesses, generating economic growth, and developing community programmes and events.

Titans Chief Operating Officer Daniel Werly, together with Titans alumni Jevon Kearse and Keith Bulluck, presented LG Electronics North America CEO Chris Jung with an honorary football jersey and a commemorative football at a special signing ceremony at the Titans’ Nashville training facility. Later, at the LG home appliance factory in Clarksville, over 900 employees were able to meet Kearse and Bulluck to celebrate the contract extension. Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden and Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts also attended the event to recognise LG’s role as a major employer and corporate citizen in Middle Tennessee.

“LG continues to demonstrate the characteristics we look for in a meaningful and strategic partnership that benefits both our fans and the greater Tennessee community,” Werly stated. “We constantly want to collaborate with companies that share our commitment to service and providing an outstanding customer and fan experience; LG exemplifies these qualities. We are pleased to commit to another three years of collaboration.”

Jung stated that the Titans’ values are consistent with LG’s. “We believe in investing in the communities where we live and work, and this cooperation enables us to directly help Tennesseans and the causes they care about alongside partners that are likewise deeply dedicated to Tennessee. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of giving back together through programmes like Community Care Cycle and Taste of Tennessee, as well as offering disaster relief when sad circumstances arise.”

Since 2018, when it established its million-square-foot home appliance plant in Clarksville, LG has been a fixture in the Tennessee community, exhibiting its commitment to Tennesseans via numerous significant initiatives:

Job Creation and Economic Growth: LG’s Clarksville manufacturing site contributes to the state’s economy by creating local jobs, investing in employees, and boosting local economies.
Community Care Cycle: Providing washers and dryers to underserved local schools, thereby promoting school community health and well-being.
Disaster Relief: Providing assistance to Tennessee residents during times of need, as seen by their response to the 2023 Clarksville tornado and the 2021 Tennessee floods.
“Taste of Tennessee”: Creating an award-winning content series that celebrates Tennessee’s culinary culture while featuring small businesses and local chefs. Taste of Tennessee is available to watch on demand through LG Channels, the webOS streaming platform included on LG smart TVs.

LG Electronics, America’s most dependable home appliance brand, manufactures some of its award-winning washers, dryers, and laundry centres for the US market in its Clarksville plant. The World Economic Forum has named this plant a “Lighthouse plant,” recognising it as one of the world’s leading enterprises, creating the future of manufacturing through the integration of AI, the Internet of Things, big data, robotics, and other Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

LG is investing more than $4 billion and creating up to 2,600 jobs in Tennessee through its LG Electronics home appliances factory in Clarksville, the LG Chem cathode plant (also in Clarksville), and the LG Energy Solution EV battery joint venture with General Motors in Spring Hill.
