Kyree Jackson, the Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback who died in a traffic accident on Saturday, is recalled by his family and previous coaches.

The football player perished in a three-car accident in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, alongside former high school teammates Anthony Lytton Jr., 24, and Isaiah Hazel, 23.

According to Maryland Police, emergency medical personnel pronounced Jackson and Hazel deceased on the scene. Meanwhile, Lytton was taken to the hospital, where he subsequently died.

Images of the wreck have been released, showing a destroyed Dodge Charger with the back axle split from the rest of the vehicle.

As family members came on the site to see the damage, Jackson’s grandfather, Anthony Jackson, spoke with NBC 4 Washington.

Dalawn Parrish, who coached the three victims at Henry Wise High School, stated that the former teammates remained buddies after they graduated.

Isaiah had an infectious attitude. He was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed being around him, he claimed. ‘A.J. is a phenomenal athlete. You know, he could do whatever he pleased. Khyree’s conviction in himself was remarkable.

The Vikings, owners Mark and Zygi Wilf, and head coach Kevin O’Connell have all delivered touching tributes to Jackson, with the team stating that they are ‘devastated’.

The team’s statement read: ‘We are grieved by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death as a result of an overnight vehicle accident.

‘While we collect more information, we have spoken with Khyree’s family and expressed the Minnesota Vikings’ support.

‘We have also informed Vikings players, coaches, and staff, and have offered counseling to any who require emotional support.

‘Our prayers are with Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches, as well as all the victims of this awful event.’

Owners Mark and Zygi Wilf added: ‘We are very grieved by the news of Khyree’s loss.

‘Khyree had a very promising future as a footballer, and it was evident that he was committed to being a wonderful guy who made a difference in people’s lives.

‘After this devastating loss, we are thinking of Khyree’s family and friends, as well as all Minnesota Vikings players.
