Inter Milan and Marseille are still in talks about signing Valentin Carboni, a teenage offensive midfielder.

This is according to the French broadcaster RMC Sport, as reported by FCInterNews. According to the outlet, Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi is eager to sign the 19-year-old, who wants to work with him.

Marseille have expressed the biggest interest in signing Carboni this summer. At least for now.

The Argentine has had plenty of suitors.

All of Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Lazio are interested in Carboni.

However, Marseille is now negotiating a deal to sign Carboni.

Inter and Marseille continue negotiations for Valentin Carboni.

According to French publication RMC Sport, De Zerbi, the new Marseille coach, is most interested in signing Carboni.

The 45-year-old joined the French club this summer after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the previous season.

De Zerbi sees Carboni as a key target for building the team in his image beginning next season.

As a result, the French club is seriously considering signing Carboni.

According to RMC Sport, Inter will not sell the young offensive midfielder for a low price.

Last season, the Nerazzurri sent Carboni on loan to Monza. There, he gained his first regular season experience in senior football.

Inter do not want to lose control of the 19-year-old’s destiny permanently.

As a result, Inter would only sell Carboni for a very high transfer price.

According to reports, the Nerazzurri expect to pay around €35-40 million for the 19-year-old.

However, Marseille are serious about signing Carboni this summer. And the adolescent, who is presently representing Argentina at the Copa America in the United States, would love the opportunity to work with De Zerbi.
