Crystal Palace could now trade David Ozoh to bankroll a bid for another player, with Luton Town expressing interest.

The Hatters are eyeing a permanent move for the England U18 international following their relegation to the Championship.

Crystal Palace is reportedly considering selling David Ozoh to acquire finances for another move, despite his good performance last season.

Crystal Palace could sell David Ozoh to fund Jobe Bellingham’s move.
According to an article in Sunday’s print edition of The Sun (page 57, July 7th), Crystal Palace could use the 19-year-old to fund a transfer for Jobe Bellingham.

Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed that Dougie Freedman is still trying to sign Sunderland’s No.7 for Oliver Glasner this summer, with Ed Aarons of the Guardian stating that Crystal Palace has already had a bid rejected because the Black Cats want at least £20 million.

Having having spent £15 million on Chadi Riad, and with talks underway for a £25 million move for Club Brugge No.32 Antonio Nusa, the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) limit the budget, thus Ozoh could be sold to fund a move for Bellingham.

The brother of Jude Bellingham, who has been compared to Arsenal’s No.29 Kai Havertz, scored seven goals in 45 Championship outings last season as a central attacking midfielder.

19-year-olds cannot be sold.

We believe that selling Ozoh would be extremely dangerous.

The adolescent, like Bellingham, is a highly bright prospect, and with one solid season in the Championship under his belt, he may develop into a £20 million player himself.

Based on how Ozoh fared in the Premier League, especially a particularly great performance away to Manchester City of all teams in December’s 2-2 draw, it would be unsurprising to see him dominate the Championship.

It would make far more sense to wait for a buyer to come forward for Odsonne Edouard – a player who has already been put up for sale – than to give up a brilliant prospect.
