Cleveland, Ohio — The Browns and wide receiver Amari Cooper are at odds over a contract after Cooper did not attend the team’s obligatory minicamp two weeks ago. He wants a new contract, and the Browns must decide how to approach their top wide receiver.
On Monday’s Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock, and Dan Labbe begin a look at their 15 keys to winning the Super Bowl series, with tales running throughout July, by discussing Cooper and why he’s so crucial to the Browns.

They begin by discussing how the Browns will or should approach Cooper’s contract and how a deal could be reached before delving into why Cooper is so vital to the team’s success this season. They also debate the potential of trading for 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk and what the receiving corps would be like without Cooper.

ESPN pundit has modest expectations for Browns’ Nick Chubb in 2024.

Nobody has Gray’s Sports Almanac, therefore projecting the future results of the 2024 NFL season is impossible. For the younger members of the audience, that is a “Back to the Future 2” reference.

The Cleveland Browns had an unusual 2023 season, finishing with a playoff trip despite losing RB Nick Chubb, OL Jack Conklin, and QB Deshaun Watson to injuries during the season. The 2024 Browns could be better on the field but have a lower overall record.

While Conklin and Watson are expected to return immediately, Chubb’s status is significantly less certain. Chubb decided to restructure the final year of his contract with Cleveland this offseason, but he remains eligible for free agency at the end of the season.

ESPN’s Field Yates has modest hopes for the Browns’ star running back when he recovers from a knee injury.

Yates observes that Chubb’s new contract reveals something about the team’s expectations for the running back. Yates observes that the team’s narrative is “We anticipate a return at some point in 2024” and that he may return around midseason.

With multiple significant knee operations, Chubb’s return is far from likely at this time.
