Kermit Erasmus’ colleagues have been retiring in recent days. A recent update reveals that the former Orlando Pirates player will continue to play.
Anyone who thought Kermit Erasmus was about to retire should think twice. The former Orlando Pirates striker has signed the MSC Sports agency.
Orlando Pirates Announce Kermit Eramus’ Exit
As previously reported, the Sea Robbers stated that the 33-year-old from Gqeberha has departed the Orlando Pirates due to restricted playing time and poor fitness.
“Kermit returned to the Buccaneers in 2022 after a nine-year absence and made an immediate impact by helping us win the MTN8 title. With almost 117 matches under his belt in Pirates colors, Romeo has cemented his legendary position at the club,” Orlando Pirates stated.
Meanwhile, Erasmus has signed an agency called MSC Sports, which means MSC will be in charge of finding him a new club. “Kermit Erasmus seeks a new home. Austin Ditlhobolo revealed that the veteran striker had signed Mscsports, an award-winning full-service sponsorship agency.
“Erasmus, 33, is unattached after leaving the Orlando Pirates.” Some of Mscsports’ clientele include Iqraam Rayners, Steve Barker, George Matlou, Sphelele Mkhulise, and Azola Matrose,” Ditlhobolo noted.
KAIZER CEOS SHOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE
In the meantime, former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has urged Amakhosi to recruit the former Orlando Pirates striker. Khanye feels Erasmus still has the experience to bring value and quality to Kaizer Chiefs.
“I would love to see him sign with Kaizer Chiefs,” Khanye stated. On iDiski TV.
“I think Kaizer Chiefs can give something. However, the Chiefs may be hesitant because of his age, as in South Africa, once you reach 34 or 35, you are no longer eligible to play.
“I don’t understand where this is coming from because there are excellent players who are still playing for their countries at the ages of 36 and 37 and still scoring.
“Ronaldo has scored two goals for Portugal. He is 38 years old, about to turn 39, and is still captaining Portugal and scoring goals.
“Why not Kermit at the age of 34 [33]?” For me, he is still good enough to play for the Kaizer Chiefs. “I believe the Chiefs should sign him as well,” Khanye remarked about the Orlando Pirates great.
