According to La Provence, Samuel Gigot’s (30) time at Olympique de Marseille may be coming to an end amicably, with the central defender entering the final year of his contract in the south and the club in need of sales to fund their new project.

Marseille apparently seek to lower their pay expenditure while also bringing in recruits who can assist the club fulfill the tactical aspirations of their soon-to-be-announced manager: Roberto de Zerbi

It is a scenario that has not gone unnoticed in Turkey and England, with many clubs thought to have contacted Marseille about Gigot, including Trabzonspor.

Marseille is eager to part with Samuel Gigot at the appropriate price.
With this in mind, the Marseille-based newspaper claims that Les Phocéens would be willing to trade their vice-captain this summer if the proper offer came in, and that Gigot has supposedly told those closest to him that he may go before the end of the month.
