Lewis Hamilton is a Formula One driver, but he is also a huge MotoGP enthusiast, having even ridden a premier class bike. He recently gave his thoughts on one of the most significant occurrences in the elite motorcycle racing category: Marc Márquez’s switch to Ducati in 2025.
In some ways, it appears to be a comparable transition to what Hamilton will face in F1, moving to Ferrari after more than a decade with Mercedes. The seven-time world champion said in a press conference that seeing Marquez riding the Ducati will be exciting. I mean, the Ducati has always been a really nice bike.
Both Márquez on Ducati and Hamilton at Ferrari will confront new professional difficulties, which the Briton believes will be exciting but also nerve-racking.
– As an athlete, cyclist, or driver, I believe it is… Perhaps for some of you, who have been in the same job for a long time, it’s fantastic to have something new, a new setting, a new workstation, new colleagues to work with, and new challenges. And there are nerves, and there are all these things that you are unsure of, such as how you will blend into an atmosphere. But that is exciting. And it’s fantastic to be welcomed into a new environment. So, yeah, I think it’s very cool. I can’t wait to see him riding that bike.
