Juwan Morgan, who played for the Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals, detailed how Stephen Curry pledged to crush their title chances.

Juwan Morgan, a former Celtics player, spoke about his experience playing against Stephen Curry in the 2022 NBA Finals. He said that Stephen Curry told them after Game 3 that it would be their final victory in the series, which Morgan and the Celtics originally rejected.

“Yes, he said some crazy things…” Yeah (it was justified). It wasn’t some wild sh*t, but rather, ‘I’m him’. Everyone else was paying attention to the court. But I, Malik Fitts, Nik Stauskas, and possibly Payton (Pritchard) heard it. And Matt Ryan. We are sitting there. He glanced and said, ‘Enjoy your last triumph’… That was game three. And I was like (glances around). Like it’s 2-1. “What do you mean?…”

Can Stephen Curry win another NBA championship?
Stephen Curry and the Warriors have struggled to match the heights they achieved in 2022. Last year, they were eliminated from the playoffs by the Lakers, and this year, they lost out totally after losing to the Suns in the play-in tournament. Many believe that the Warriors dynasty as we know it will end unless significant roster changes are made.

Many insiders believe the Warriors will keep their core trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green until 2027. Keeping the elderly three on their big salaries until 2027 makes it impossible to attract new players to convert the Warriors back into contenders. And, while Stephen Curry is a superstar, he cannot carry a team alone.

It will be intriguing to see what the Warriors do throughout the upcoming summer. Klay Thompson is a free agent this offseason, and his lofty pay demands raise questions about whether he would re-sign with the Warriors. If he accepts a pay reduction and the Warriors move Chris Paul to free up salary cap space, they may make a signing to help their club compete again.
