How the Bills are continuing to give back to Western New York two years removed from 5/14 racist mass shooting
The Buffalo Bills are honored to collaborate with and support a number of community events on May 14, 2024, in remembrance of the 10 lives lost in the racist mass shooting at Tops Supermarket on May 14, 2022.
The Bills are still dedicated to paying tribute to the following individuals: Roberta Drury, Pearl Young, Katherine Massey, Geraldine Talley, Heyward Patterson, Andre Mackniel, Aaron Salter Jr., and Celestine Chaney.
Here are some ideas for helping the community on May 14th anniversary.
The Buffalo Healthy Community Store Initiative has received a $270,979 contribution from the Bills Foundation spread over three years.
By encouraging individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle and working with local businesses to create a culture of health, the program seeks to eliminate inequalities in food access in Buffalo’s East Side.

The CEPA Blue Flags Memorial
a cooperative community memorial to remember those killed in Buffalo, New York, on May 14th, in a shooting motivated by race.
On the second anniversary of the horrific massacre, cyanotype flags will be flown across the Buffalo community, conveying messages of remembrance and hope.

Tuesday, May 14 at 4:30 p.m. is when Second Chapter Bookstore and Literary Freedom will present the second annual bookstore pop-up on Jefferson Avenue and Landon Street.
Public admission to the event is FREE.
There will be kid-friendly activities and billy bags available.
