After three seasons, the 31-year-old is about to sign with his fourth club.
NFL STAR RECEIVER The Miami Dolphins and Super Bowl winner Odell Beckham Jr. have reached an agreement on a one-year contract, according to many sources on Friday.
According to ESPN and the NFL Network, Beckham, who assisted the Los Angeles Rams in winning the 2021 NFL title, is expected to sign with his fourth team in three seasons after sustaining a ruptured knee ligament in the Super Bowl and missing the 2022 season.
According to reports, the transaction is valued $3 million, but if incentive targets are met, the payout may reach $8.25 million.
In the 2014 NFL Draft, the 31-year-old pass catcher was selected by the New York Giants in the first round. He played five seasons there before moving to Cleveland for three more seasons, where he was traded to the Rams in the middle of the 2021 season.
Beckham signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens last season, during which he caught 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Beckham was cut loose in March after helping the Ravens get to the AFC Championship game, where they ultimately lost to Kansas City in the Super Bowl.
Beckham has caught 566 catches for 7,932 yards and 59 touchdowns in 110 career games.
Beckham seems to be considering a position as a third receiver at Miami, backing up Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, the Dolphins’ top receiving duo.
Waddle made 72 catches for 1,014 yards and four scores last season, while Hill led the NFL with 1,799 reception yards on 119 catches and 13 touchdowns.
In last week’s draft, the Dolphins also drafted receivers Malik Washington and Tahj Washington.
