The key position in the NFL, quarterback, is a question mark for the Cleveland Browns going into the 2024 season.
Deshaun Watson, a quarterback for the Houston Texans, was acquired by the Cleveland Browns in March 2022; in the two years since, he has only appeared in 12 games. Due to a shoulder injury, he only started six games last season and was suspended for the first eleven in 2022.
One of Watson’s main problems is that he hasn’t played a snap in 2021 when he was still with Houston. As a result, he has only seen 12 games in three years, which is not fantastic, and it has reflected in his play.
The quarterback position for the Cleveland Browns could change in 2025 if Watson doesn’t figure it out this season, and it might even involve a famous college football player.
The 2024 NFL Draft concluded last week, and an early 2025 mock draft is the best thing to do. Fox Sports This week, Rob Rang released his early 2025 mock draft, in which he projected the Cleveland Browns to choose quarterback Jalen Milroe of Alabama with the 18th pick.
According to Rang’s report, Milroe needs to improve significantly as a pocket passer in order to be selected in the first round of the NFL draft. However, Kalen DeBoer, his head coach, can help him improve his accuracy and anticipation, and he already has exceptional size and agility. Next season, Milroe is going to be one of the most intriguing and watched prospects in the nation.
During fall camp last season, Milroe emerged victorious as the starting quarterback for Alabama, starting the first two games. He was defeated by Texas at home in his second game. At USF, the Crismon Tide benched him on the road the next week. Milroe returned to the starting lineup for the remainder of the season despite the team’s appalling performance in that particular game.
The native of Katy, Texas had a great season, winning all of the SEC games, including the SEC title game against Georgia, which she had never lost.
Even though the Crimson Tide didn’t win the championship, Milroe had a fantastic season and is now looking forward to 2024, when he can position himself. Alabama would lose to Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
