In the social media age, the initial response to anything new in sports is to tear it mercilessly. Ask the Denver Broncos following their switch to new uniforms.
This offseason, four teams revealed significant modifications to their uniforms. This must be a terrifying day. Excitement surrounds the reveal, as well as anxiety that you’ll spend the entire day as someone else’s punching bag on social media.
In actuality, the four teams’ offseason performance wasn’t all that poor. Yes, the Broncos as well. The Cleveland Browns also implemented a white facemask alteration. Although the facemask rollout was a little excessive, it is still a neat homage to the past and looks decent.

They must be fourth because that is their position. However, unlike what the fury on social media would have you believe, the uniforms aren’t all that horrible.
Maybe it’s only because the team had probably the worst NFL clothes ever worn, dating back to 1997. It could have been any kind of improvement. They’ll age well enough after everyone stops making jokes about the new kits. This bunch of brand-new shirts, jeans, and helmets is perfect.
There was one major error made by the Broncos. They didn’t decide to make the 1977 alternative throwbacks their go-to outfit because of how amazing they looked.
Unfortunately. The Broncos’ new appearance isn’t nearly as awful as everyone thinks it is, despite that error. It ranks fourth, nevertheless.
3. The Lions of Detroit
If this is the second-to-last uniform you bought this year, you know it was a good one.
The Lions’ new appearance is essentially their old look, so there’s not much to be upset about. You can picture Barry Sanders racing by John Lynch or Reggie White in 1995 while you look at these. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
The “Detroit” across the front of the road uniforms truly work well, and there are some contemporary accents. No one wanted the Lions to remodel anything, so they didn’t. They have enhanced the appearance of a classic.
The alternatives’ black and blue design will be well-liked, though perhaps not by everyone. However, you’ll probably enjoy it if you like it.
Not a single problem with the new Lions look. Simple, not overly dramatic, respectful of their past… fantastic work, Detroit.
2. The Jets in New York
It looks fantastic that the Jets brought it back to the 1980s.
Why interfere with a fun squad that always looked good, the Jets of the “Sack Exchange” era?
The Jets adopted that style as a throwback since it was so popular that they decided to make it a staple. which was astute.
Everything about that is amazing. Every other team can learn from this: thirty to forty years ago, we had the uniform game pretty well figured out. Never try to do things from scratch. When a classic is improved, everyone wins.
If there’s one criticism, it’s that the Jets’ throwback uniforms from 1998 to 2018 were even better. But these will function perfectly.
1. The Houston Texans
A raise is due to the person who redesigned the Texans’ jerseys.
The Texans have a difficult time winning the game on a uniform release. Unlike the Broncos, Lions, and Jets, they are unable to score nostalgia points. In their rather brief history, they have worn just one uniform. An expansion team from 2002 cannot appeal to supporters who yearn for the simpler times of 1994.
The Texans continued to dominate it. They came up with some very great combinations.
