BUCS KEY THREE TO RETURN
When Jose Riveiro selects his team to play AmaZulu on Saturday, it will be much stronger. After serving their suspensions, important defense combination Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki are back, and Bafana Bafana attacker Evidence Makgopa is back in full training and may be included in the matchday squad.
This is taken from the Pirates’ official website:
“Defense tandem Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki are back in the running for spots in the team on game day, having missed the journey to Durban due to suspension. The impending return of striker Evidence Makgopa, who has been out of action for more than a month, is another plus for Pirates.
In the Nedbank Cup semi-final on Saturday, May 4, Chippa United is the clear underdog against Pirates because of their difficult task of retaining ace goalie Stanley Nwabali. They’ve allegedly been snooping around Pirates third-choice goalie Richard Ofori to add even more spice to the event. The Ghanaian is said to be the perfect successor if Super Eagles standout Nwabali decides to leave the team. Before that, on Saturday, April 20, at 17:30, Pirates will play AmaZulu in DStv Premiership action.
PIRATES TO FINALLY MAKE MBATHA’S RELOAD
Thalente Mbatha’s contract has a buyout clause that Pirates will activate in order to permanently switch him from SuperSport, according to SoccerLaduma. The 24-year-old originally signed a six-month loan agreement with the Sea Robbers, but his performance impressed the technical staff enough to warrant a permanent move.
“Everything is set up. The negotiations and agreements between the two teams and the concerned player are almost complete. According to the source, the technical team is thrilled with what they have seen thus far and doesn’t want to let him leave.
