The Saints are re-signing DB Shemar Jean-Charles, according to the wire.
The Packers selected Jean-Charles, 25, in the fifth round of the 2021 draft out of Appalachian State. With the organization, he inked a $3.7 million rookie contract that included a $240,000 signing bonus for four years.
In the third year of that contract, Green Bay cut him following the preseason, and he made an impression on the 49ers practice squad. He signed a contract with the Saints after being released by San Francisco in November.
Jean-Charles made appearances in two 49ers games and five 49ers games in 2023, totaling four tackles.
