Pistons reach agreement to hire former Suns coach Monty Williams, reports say

Even without Paul George, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Ivica Zubac, Norman Powell, and Kawhi Leonard, the LA Clippers managed to push the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, taking the lead with less than seven minutes remaining in the game. Even though LA was unable to hold on and win, their depth was impressive as they made Phoenix play their stars heavily on the second night of a back-to-back.

When questioned about the significance of this game by media following the game, Suns star Kevin Durant responded, “A win is a win.” During this season, one’s only concern is winning games, no matter what the circumstances.”

On his game, Durant added, “Just being able to initiate a little bit more. Being able to dribble and get my rhythm. I was just shooting all threes in the first half. You know what I’m saying, that’s not my game. I can knock down the catch and shoot, but I think I put more pressure if I can get in the paint, handle, get in the post. Just be able to kill the game a little and I think I was able to do that a bit more in the second half. I shot better and we played better on offense.”
