Australia’s Glenn Maxwell made a joke stating that he hopes Virat Kohli, his colleague at the Royal Challengers of Bangalore, is not selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup by India. Ahead of the 2018 T20 World Cup, which will be hosted in the USA and the West Indies, Maxwell referred to Kohli as the “most clutch player he’s seen.” In the current IPL 2024, Kohli is the top run scorer with 316 runs in five matches at an average of 105.33 and a strike rate of 146.29. Speaking to ESPN, Maxwell called Kohli one of the most clutch players he’s seen, while joking that he hopes that India don’t take him to the 2024 T20 World Cup.
