Curry teased Eason and the Rockets during the game by holding several Coke bottles between his fingers.

This is, of course, in reference to the iconic scene in the 1979 movie Warriors where an enemy taunted them, saying, “Warriors, come out to play!”

Despite not playing, Eason wore a shirt with the exact same phrase when Golden State and Houston faced off. With six games remaining, the Warriors, who now have a 42-34 record, are four games ahead of the Rockets for the No. 10 spot. Houston might not be a problem in the future, but Golden State needs to play flawless basketball to climb higher up the standings.
Klay Thompson Dismisses “Lame” Jokes
Prior to the Warriors game against the Rockets, Thompson did not think well of Eason’s behavior. Thompson disapproved of what he did, both in calling out the Warriors and in donning a shirt that made the same taunting reference.

“That’s pretty lame,” Thompson told “Especially if you’re not even playing…But you’re just gonna be trolling from the sideline. Bro, what are we doing?”

With the Rockets, Eason is in his second season as a professional. He underwent season-ending surgery to remove a benign tumor from his leg, which ended his sophomore campaign.

The Warriors have faced far greater strain since the start of the Curry era than just trying to keep a team like Houston from unseating them in the play-in round. Since 2015, they have won four titles and advanced to six NBA Finals.

With Curry and Thompson, the season has not gone as well as some of the others, but the Warriors will still contend with making the playoffs.
