Since the Sky Blues advanced all the way to the Championship play-off final at the conclusion of the previous season, there was a different perception of what they could do this time around.

Because of this, there may have been worries about a hangover from the previous season and the fact that Mark Robins’ team had lost two important players in Gustavo Hamer and Viktor Gyokeres after they got off to a bad start to the season.

But the team quickly began to turn the turnaround, and just as previously, they moved up the table to be in the running for a play-off position.

As well as chasing promotion glory, Coventry also have an exciting FA Cup semi-final tie against Manchester United to look forward to in a few weeks time.

So, all focus will be on the pitch at this moment in time, but decisions will soon have to be made as the club has players who are coming to the end of their contracts.

So, with that said, here we have looked at the three players who will leave the CBS Arena this summer if a new deal isn’t agreed.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore is the first player who is nearing the end of his contract with the team.

The 33-year-old arrived with the team in 2021 after leaving Sheffield United on a free transfer.

Moore signed a three-year deal that summer, but it hasn’t been extended since. As a result, at the end of June, he will be free to leave the team.

Since the goalie is currently a third choice and has not made a single appearance for the Sky Blues this season, it is uncertain if the team will attempt to sign him to a new deal.

This campaign has been a real disappointment for the player, as when he first joined the club, he was instantly installed as their number one, playing 41 times in the Championship and keeping nine clean sheets.

He then lost his place last season, becoming second choice behind Ben Wilson, playing just four times in all competitions. Therefore, it looks like he is no longer needed at and it is likely he will be allowed to leave at the end of the campaign.
